Luton Park is a family-friendly, multi-use area with 9.7 miles of trails, perfect for mountain biking, hiking, trail running, bird watching, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Featuring a prairie, forests, marshes, and Rum Creek bridges, it's a regional attraction, accessible from the main trailhead on 10 Mile Rd, excluding motorized vehicles and equestrian use.
Pickerel Lake Park, or the Fred Meijer Nature Preserve, is a scenic haven with a network of trails weaving through diverse natural landscapes. The park's centerpiece, an 80-acre lake, is ideal for fishing and observing wildlife. A highlight is the 900-foot boardwalk stretching across the lake. With its shores untouched by development, bordered only by parkland and Camp Roger to the north, it offers a tranquil escape.
Located in the original Cannon Township Hall, 8045 Cannonsburg Rd NE, Rockford, MI 49341. The Cannon Township Historical museum contains exhibits which bring the history of the township to life. The hours of operation are May-September Sundays from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. Or by appointment 616-874-6966. Admission is free.
