NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on February 24, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., the Township Board of the Township of Cannon will hold a public hearing at the Cannon Township Center, 6878 Belding Rd, Rockford, MI 49341 to hear and consider comments on a proposed rezoning of lands, as described below. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at the Township Offices.

Request:  The applicant has submitted a request to conditionally rezone a 129 acre parcel from RR, Rural Residential to R-1, Low Density Residential

General location:  The parcel in question is generally located on the south side of Belding Road, approximately 2,429 ft. east of the Belding Road and Myers Lake Ave intersection.  

All interested persons may attend the public hearing and be heard regarding the above request.  Written comments may be submitted to the Township Clerk, at the Township Center, until 4 p.m. on the date of the public hearing, or by emailing jalles@cannontwp.org.  A copy of the application and proposed rezoning ordinance are on file and available for review at the Township office.
